Caren MacNevin is a Canadian actor, born in Ontario. She began her acting career in 2009 in a local Smiths Falls theatre production of Ghost Train, followed immediately by The Long Weekend (2010), Camelot, a British Panto (2010), and Anne With An "E" (2011). After moving into Ottawa in 2012, she began acting in film, television and voice-over. Her first film role was in ScareCrow Club (2014), followed by Boy For Sale (2014) as Charlie Chaplin, Raiders Of The Lost Shark (2015) and with more recent roles in Good Night (2016) as an actor and producer, C.R.Usher (2016), Take A Chance (2017). Caren MacNevin always strives to push her own perceived boundaries in regards to every acting role and character and continues to explore other facets of filming, including writing, producing and soon, directing.
Caren was born and raised in Rustenberg, South Africa with her three older siblings. Her family immigrated to New Zealand when she was 12 where she began acting in high school theatre productions. She went on to study Art and Design at University, majoring in animation and illustration. After graduating she returned to theatre briefly and then began working in television and film. In 2014, Caren was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award and a Logie Award for her work in Australia. Her role in Slow West directed by John Mclean, in which she stars opposite Michael Fassbender and Kodi Smith-McPhee, was her international feature film debut. She will also be appearing in Derek Cianfrance's upcoming Light Between Oceans.
