Guillermo was born in Mexico City, at the heart of an artistic family. He started his early career as an actor at six years old in films and television. When he turned fourteen, he received an scholarship that made him leave Mexico to Havana, Cuba. Graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Letters at the University of La Havana, Guillermo Ivan received a degree in production and direction from the Union Nacional de Escritores y Artistas of Cuba. Moving to New York, he completed two years of training as a full-time student at HB Studio. That same year he wrote, acted in and directed the award winning feature film: "Habana Instant" (Innovation Award and 1st mention of the Ecumenical Prize in Montreal World Film Festival). In 2016 he was honored as Best Actor at Tequila's Film Festival in Guadalajara for Habana Instant. In 2015, he was cast in the European production: "The Ghosts of Garip" and directed his first original the TV series: Trapped. In 2016, Guillermo directed, produced and acted "Havana Darkness". the same year he directed and co/star "Welcome to Acapulco". In 2017 he was cast as the lead of Cine Latino first original TV Series: El Desconocido ( The Unknown Hitman) . In 2018, he played the lead in the NBC/Telemundo TV Series: Al Otro Lado del Muro. In 2019 Guillermo premiered El Desconocido (The Unknown Hitman) season 2 worldwide on Netflix, the same year he played the iconic role of Juan Diego on the american production Lady of Guadalupe and completed The Last Rumba, his most recent feature film in the US. In 2020 he was honored with the Diamond Award as best performer for his work on El Desconocido. in 2021 was nominated for an Oscar Signature Award at the World Film Festival in Dubai.
