Maite Garcia, a native citizen of Los Angeles, California, has grown up in the backyard of the movie industry. Her father, a Cuban exile, along with her Spaniard mother, raised her in a bilingual, multi-cultural home, which continues to define her. Her theatrical leanings were evident at an early age. She honed her creative instincts by participating in school plays, musicals and speech meets. Beyond local opportunities, Maite was selected to take part in an acting workshop directed by Bob Feldman. Ever the competitor, Maite excelled in CIF sports, allowing her to showcase her athleticism. Her love for the stage and competition led her to the Miss Cerritos pageant to capture the crown. Shortly after, Maite was discovered by Team Model Management. Her modeling career provided an opportunity to extend her already culturally diverse background by traveling to many countries. Upon returning to Los Angeles, one of Maite's first commercials was the now iconic AT&T campaign "You Will" directed by David Fincher. Mr. Fincher hired her again for another commercial without an audition. Soon she found herself as the lead in To His Coy Apple (1994), a short film directed by W.D. Hogan. The film gained critical acclaim and recognition at various short film festivals and landed on the Sundance channel where it aired to the general public. Maite has booked a recurring role on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (1987), and has made a special appearance on the HBO hit series Entourage (2004) as a fire-performance artist and the list continues to grow.
