Troy Powell was born in Oregon and raised in Marshall, TX. He is now a director, writer, producer and actor living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For the last 25 years he was the director of Theatre for The Union Theater where he has received four consecutive Tony nominations for Excellence in Theatre Education. He is also the founder of Comedy 101, a comedy improvisational troupe that has performed all over the U.S. He has directed over 130 plays and musicals at Union and in Community Theatre. Troy is also a writer penning several short stories, plays, and film scripts such as Bucket List, Our Story, My Maestro, To Thine Own Self, The Last Years of Vincent Van Gogh, and the TV Series The Shop . He lives in Tulsa Oklahoma with his wife and four children.
